The SF3 First Nations Award supported by Dolby is open for entries. This award is open to filmmakers from across Australia who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. We want entries from creatives of all ages and abilities, whether you are making your very first film or your hundredth, we would love to see it. This award comes with the prize of a brand new phone or tablet of your choice + $5000 in industry mentorships. Enter by September 1st.

SF3’s first ever Western Sydney Screenings on now

SF3 has its Western Sydney Premiere in partnership with Blacktown Arts this month and we invite you all to come along and experience our films on the big screen for FREE at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre, Tuesday to Saturday from 10am-5pm until August 5th. No booking necessary, just come on in.
Check out a selection of films with Western Sydney connections from past SF3 winners – Ajila Miller, Peter Majarich, Aaron Scully, Amelie Correa & Isabella Andrew, Rachael Belle-Myers and Angela Blake’s Bus Stop Films iPhone film.
Hope to see you all there and celebrate smartphone cinema and Western Sydney. A digital season will follow this from 6 August to 1 September 2023 for all of you out of towners to still experience the magic.
