We wanted to keep you inspired and share some of our vast collection of amazing smartphone films from the first 5 years of SF3. To get us started, film #1 is our very first SF3 Best Film & Best Actor Winner from 2015, “LSD Man” by Steve McGrath. Not only did Steve write and act in this himself, he shot it mostly alone too all in his Sydney apartment…get inspired during quarantine!

While our official launch is not until May 1st, we want to give you all enough time to make your masterpieces, so we’ve already opened our call for entries! You have until midnight AEST. August 1st, 2020 to get us your films. Remember we want shorts up to 20 mins, feature films and VR/360 vids.

What a weekend at Event Cinemas Sydney!

To our SF3 2019 filmmakers, a huge thank you for being a part of the fifth annual SmartFone Flick Fest! What a wonderful weekend of smartphone films it’s been. From SF3 Kids to our inaugural smartphone feature film, Blue Moon, and our epic SF3 Gala Awards, you’re passion, creativity and talents are why we run this festival to showcase the amazing things you do…and all on that little smartphone you’re carrying in your pocket!

We are thrilled to announce this year’s award winners, but in our mind, anyone who is inspired to tell their own, unique story through film is already winning by embarking on this smartphone filmmaking journey and becoming a part of the #FILMBREAKER movement.
